Editor's Review
The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Lexington, KY, offers a blend of charm and practicality that attracts a diverse range of shoppers, from thrifty treasure hunters to those simply looking for a good deal on clothing and household goods. Many reviews highlight the store's clean and well-organized environment, with one customer noting, 'I go here often and prices are great, especially when you catch the specific color tags for that day at 50% off or for 99 cents.' This focus on affordable pricing, particularly through rotating discounts, seems to resonate well with frequent shoppers.
However, not all experiences have been positive. While some patrons appreciate the wide selection, there are complaints regarding pricing. For example, Cassie Weaver expressed disappointment, stating that 'everything seemed very high for secondhand.' Moreover, unprofessional interactions with staff have been reported, such as the experience shared by Elizabeth Misana, who faced rudeness when seeking assistance with a purchase. This inconsistency in customer service appears to be a recurring theme among reviews.
Despite these issues, the store remains a favored destination for many who appreciate the thrill of the hunt and the potential to score a bargain. Customers seem to appreciate the variety available, even if the prices sometimes miss the mark. Overall, the Salvation Army Thrift Store stands out as a reliable stop for those on the lookout for secondhand apparel and home items, though it might not be the best fit for everyone.
