Editor's Review

The Western SD Community Action Thrift Store in Rapid City, South Dakota, has carved out a niche for itself among local shoppers. With an overall rating of 4.2 out of 5 based on 23 reviews, it is evident that this small thrift store holds a special place in the hearts of its patrons. One of the standout features that draws people in is the pricing. Every adult and children's basic clothing item is just a dollar, an incredible deal considering the quality and variety available. As TamiB enthusiastically noted, 'Very nice store. Items priced reasonably. Nice employees πŸ™‚'.

Another appealing aspect is the dedication of the staff. Customers consistently mention the kindness and helpfulness of the employees, which goes a long way in creating a welcoming atmosphere. Roxann Chamberlain captured this sentiment perfectly by saying, 'Nice people that work there.' It’s not just about the products; the service here makes a lasting impression.

While the store is well-loved, some reviewers note its limitations. Luke Storer pointed out that it’s quite small, suggesting that if one’s time is limited, visiting larger thrift stores in the area might be a better choice. However, for those seeking a unique find, like Olena Taylor’s discovery of the 'coolest pair of gold metal angel wings', this little gem deserves a visit. Overall, the Western SD Community Action Thrift Store offers affordable prices, friendly service, and a chance to support community programs, making it a worthwhile stop for anyone in the area.

Best for: This store is perfect for budget-conscious shoppers looking for great deals and unique finds.

This is a very small thrift store. It is housed within the offices for Western South Dakota Community Action. If you are going thrift store shopping and you only have time for one stop, I would recommend going to one of the larger stores in town.
