Editor's Review
The Union Gospel Mission Thrift Store in Sioux Falls, SD, offers a unique blend of affordable shopping and community support that resonates with many customers. As Bonnie shared, she ‘tries to go here every time I’m in SF’ because of the friendly atmosphere and reasonable prices. Many reviewers appreciate how the store provides low-cost options for families, with items ranging from vintage clothing to home goods. Lala A. noted finding ‘two very nice jackets’ at unbeatable prices, which highlights the treasure-hunting potential of this store.
However, the experience isn’t universally positive. Some reviewers expressed frustration with staff interactions, which seemed inconsistent. Joe Cool pointed out, ‘A staff member yelled at me across the store with a very angry face,’ raising concerns about customer service. Wittifer’s review described a negative encounter that contributed to a less welcoming atmosphere at times.
What stands out is the store's commitment to community service. Alongside their thrift offerings, they provide a free meal service every day and a no-appointment health clinic. This dual role as a shopping destination and a support hub makes the Union Gospel Mission Thrift Store worth considering for those looking to save money while supporting local outreach efforts.

I like this store because I found 2 very nice jackets. One was only $4 and the other one was $15 because it was genuine leather. It’s very small but they have a lot of vintage stuff specially leather jackets. The workers are very nice as well.
