Editor's Review
The Goodwill Gulf Coast - Airport Bargain Store in Mobile, AL, has carved out a unique niche that sets it apart from typical thrift stores. As several reviewers observe, the shopping experience here is quite different, primarily due to its layout. Instead of the conventional racks and shelves, customers dig through items placed in boat-shaped tubs. This distinctive setup can be both a treasure hunt and a challenge. Randall Yates described it well when he said, 'The retail area is different than other Goodwill outlets.' Such a hands-on approach appeals to many, especially those who enjoy sifting through goods to uncover hidden gems.
Despite its merits, not all experiences are flawless. Some customers express frustration with the checkout process. For instance, Terry Rhea pointed out the inefficiency of having to move to the end while bids are changed, which wastes time. Additionally, concerns arose regarding pricing accuracy at the cash register. Tina's review highlighted a discrepancy where, according to her, 'if the cashier knows you, they don't charge them correctly.' This inconsistency could potentially tarnish the shopping experience for some.
On a more positive note, the storeβs mission resonates well with the community. Many appreciate its commitment to providing job skills training and support for individuals living with disabilities. Angela Beaty's review showcases this when she mentions finding an orthopedic boot for free, emphasizing the kindness and helpfulness of the staff. Such stories reinforce the value of shopping here, not only for the deals but also for the impact on local communities.

It's nicer then Mobile. It's just stupid making everyone move to the end while they change out bids. Wasting people's time what they should do is have people move to one side.
