Editor's Review

Goodwill Clearance Center at Arizona Ave & Ray in Chandler, AZ, has carved out a unique niche among thrift shoppers, attracting a blend of enthusiasts and casual seekers. It’s not your typical Goodwill, as noted by Christine Montes, who enthusiastically shared, 'This isn’t your normal Goodwill and if you don’t like digging in.' The store features bins where items are sold by weight, which fascinates treasure hunters looking for hidden gems, making it a vibrant spot for those who enjoy the thrill of the find. However, amid the excitement lies a troubling undercurrent of customer dissatisfaction. Multiple reviews point to issues with staff behavior, particularly concerning a staff member named Janet, with one reviewer stating, 'Janet is a problem and continues to be.' This recurring complaint about poor management and unprofessional behavior casts a shadow over the otherwise enticing shopping experience.

While the store boasts engaging daily specials and a significant 50% discount on special color tags each Wednesday, the atmosphere can sometimes feel tense, as noted by Jason, who remarked on the disruptive presence of young kids rummaging through items. This combination of appealing prices and a somewhat chaotic environment might deter those accustomed to a more organized shopping experience. Overall, Goodwill Clearance Center is a compelling location for dedicated thrift shoppers but comes with caveats about customer service that potential visitors should keep in mind.

Best for: Treasure hunters and seasoned thrift shoppers who enjoy digging for unique finds.

Janet is a problem and continues to be. She is constantly talking bad about other customers and coworkers to other customers and coworkers so loud you can hear it across the store. She was told to not do that anymore by the manager yet she still does...

Why, just why is Janet still here. Teach Ruby some management skills. Treat the customers with some respect, all the customers. Rotate the bins regularly.

Terrible, young kids hanging around watching whats coming out next and even allowed to go to the back to grab before someone else. The staff should be fired.
