Editor's Review
Goodwill Industries of the Inland Northwest in Ponderay, ID, has carved out a reputation that resonates with budget-conscious shoppers and community supporters alike. With an overall rating of 3.9 out of 5 based on 141 reviews, this store is known for its clean environment and friendly staff. Many customers appreciate the organization of the store and the variety of items available, from gently used clothing to new products. As Tanya Koch put it, "The BEST goodwill I've been to! Prices are so reasonable as compared to many other Goodwills I've visited across the states." This sentiment echoes through several reviews, highlighting the perceived value in what this store offers.
However, not all experiences are glowing. Some reviewers have raised concerns about pricing, particularly when it comes to items that they feel are in less-than-ideal condition. For instance, Rene' Bowker remarked, "I saw many used coats today that were not in great shape for twenty dollars." Similarly, Rachel Young noted recent price increases, suggesting a shift from the traditional Goodwill pricing model that many have come to expect. This highlights a potential trend where thrift stores are balancing their support for local charities with the need to remain financially viable.
Another point of contention is customer service, with at least one review indicating that the experience can vary widely based on who is working. Maria Schmitz had a notably negative experience with a cashier, pointing out that the atmosphere can be unwelcoming, especially for families. However, others like arose58 appreciated the cleanliness and organization of the store, which adds a positive touch to the shopping experience.
