Editor's Review
The Family Thrift Store in Kansas City, MO, has earned a solid reputation with an overall rating of 4.0 out of 5 from 26 reviews. Customers appreciate its veteran-owned status and the support it provides to Disabled American Veterans. However, a few common complaints keep popping up.
For example, Sharla Riead expresses her frustration: 'You used to be able to try on clothes here. They no longer have a dressing room.' This sentiment echoes among others who feel restricted by the store's return policy, which only offers store credit instead of refunds.
Additionally, Lavena Labrie points out issues with checkout, saying, 'The new faces @ ck. out talk too much...it's nice to hire youth but they need 2 b trained.' While the enthusiasm of younger staff can be refreshing, it seems training is a significant area needing attention.
On a positive note, Felicia shares her love for the store: 'I absolutely love Red Racks. I have gotten so many quality items from there.' This indicates that, despite some bumps, many shoppers are finding great deals and quality products. Overall, the Family Thrift Store has its strengths but could benefit from addressing customer service issues and the lack of dressing rooms.

You used to be able to try on clothes here. They no longer have a dressing room. If something doesn't fit, then you can bring it back, but you won't get a refund. You only get store credit. So you spend gas to get here, then more gas to come back,...
The new faces @ ck. out talk too much. & make mistakes they either have over charged me or left stuff off I was charged for..this is the 3rd time occurance..its nice to hire youth but they need 2 b trained...
I absolutely love Red Racks. I have gotten so many quality items from there. I go all of the time. Great store
Went there to ask about an item that was donated outside. I was told I had to wait for it to be processed and I'd receive a follow up call, but sadly that never happened.....
Prices are going up even at the thrift store! However this is better then City thrift anyday. Who pays $6 for a used t-shirt though!!
