Editor's Review
Penny Pincher Thrift Store in Fairmont, WV, is a treasure trove waiting to be explored. With an impressive rating of 4.5 out of 5 from 86 reviews, this store has carved out a reputation for cleanliness and organization, a stark contrast to the often chaotic image of thrift shopping. Genny Zbach praised the store's tidy layout, noting, 'Penny Pincher is not only clean but is neatly organized.' It truly feels like stepping into a boutique, with everything impeccably arranged, from vintage furnishings to almost new clothing.
But what really sets this place apart is its eclectic mix of items. Ace Doggy highlights the variety: 'It has all kinds of odd and unusual stuff and modern everyday stuff.' You can find anything from quirky knick-knacks to practical household items. For those who love the thrill of the hunt, the store promises a unique experience every visit.
However, it's not all sunshine and rainbows. Some customers have expressed concerns about pricing. As Destrie Truman mentioned, 'the prices are a little higher than I feel they should be for a second hand store.' This sentiment is echoed by others, particularly regarding furniture items. It seems some shoppers feel the rates should be more budget-friendly.
Despite the pricing concerns, the staff often receives high marks for their friendliness and helpfulness, making patrons feel welcome. Jessica Fetty even noted, 'the people are so sweet there.' While a few negative experiences exist, especially regarding customer service, they appear to be outliers in an otherwise positive atmosphere.

There is some cool stuff to look at occasionally, but the prices are a little higher than I feel they should be for a second hand store. But the staff is nice and, like I said, there is sometimes some cool stuff to look at.

Extremely rude employees. I asked his much something was and you would have thought I asked her to do fifty jumping jacks. Furniture is overpriced. A few good deals but I decided not to buy anything because the workers were so snobby.
