Editor's Review
The Goodwill in Montgomery, AL has a mixed reputation among customers. Many appreciate its focus on job training and community support, noting that the organization is committed to sustainable practices. However, the store does have its share of issues that keep some shoppers away.
As Christy S. pointed out, the pricing has become a major sticking point: 'The prices for this place are absolutely ridiculous.' This sentiment echoes throughout several reviews where shoppers feel that the store is losing its thrift shop charm. Additionally, customer experience seems to suffer due to cleanliness and operational issues. Kelly C. described a rather unpleasant visit, saying, 'The floor was so bad it looked as though it had NEVER BEEN vacuumed.'
Another common complaint is the lack of fitting rooms, which left Autumn K. frustrated after spending hours shopping for jeans without being able to try them on. These recurring themes suggest that while Goodwill may excel in its mission-driven work, the execution in the store leaves much to be desired.

NO fitting rooms! I spent a couple hours shopping for jeans, etc etc, only to realize that there is NO way to try them on. What a giant waste of time. I will not come back.
They wouldnβt take my donations, no staff. Place was a disaster and half a mind to write corporate.
This is one of those Goodwills that is slowly becoming too expensive to shop at. Just go buy your used items from ebay, now. Itβs cheaper and they at least have a return policy.
Oh my goodness. This was disturbing & disgusting. Workers were all sitting down and some were eating food on the floor as customer shopped. Floor was so bad it looked as though it had NEVER BEEN vacuumed. They were playing profain music and so lo...
