Editor's Review

The Goodwill Store & Donation Center in Montgomery, IL, has attracted both loyal shoppers and frustrated patrons, resulting in a mixed bag of reviews. With an overall rating of 3.9 out of 5 based on 347 reviews, this location has its share of admirers. However, the recent trend of dissatisfaction among customers cannot be overlooked. For instance, Alyssa Noel expressed her discontent by stating, 'If you aren't going to do 50% off color tags anymore, at least price your items accordingly.' This sentiment is echoed by others lamenting the rising prices, especially for items typically found for much less elsewhere.

Another area of concern is the organization within the store. Mayra Jimenez lamented, 'Things are never organized!' suggesting a chaotic shopping experience that detracts from the potential joy of thrifting. While some shoppers like CJ have found the dressing rooms clean and accessible, many have noted that overcrowded racks make browsing challenging. It seems that the Goodwill store's inventory management could use a little attention.

Despite the complaints, there are bright spots noted by customers. Shoppers appreciate the variety of items available and the cleanliness of the store. Yet the prevailing issue remains the inconsistency in customer service, as evidenced by Yamilex Rodelo's review about a rude cashier. This mix of positives and negatives means that while some may walk away with great finds, others may leave feeling frustrated.

Best for: Budget-conscious shoppers looking for unique second-hand finds.

This Goodwill used to be my favorite location, but things have changed. Things are never organized! Don’t get me started on the leggings/pants. Can’t even look thru them because everything cluttered up. Cashiers always have an attitude

Would shop here pretty often but now they must have hired somebody new higher up because the minimum price for a hoodie here is 13.99 now. Any name brand like Carhartt and Nike is 19.99 at this goodwill go shop online it’s honestly cheaper.
