Editor's Review
Goodwill in Peoria, IL, is a treasure trove of second-hand goodness, filled with a diverse selection of items that change daily. Step inside, and you’re greeted by the comforting scent of thrift store nostalgia, think the mingling aromas of fabric, wood, and a hint of adventure. As one reviewer, ᗰคгรєlค ᗰ, enthusiastically shared, 'Come on in and take a look around; every Goodwill is different!' This place has the charm of a neighborhood shop where every corner holds potential gems, from clothing to furniture and even toys.
However, not everything is sparkling. While many customers rave about the vast inventory, some note that prices have risen significantly and question the value. For instance, Becky Kelly pointed out that she found items priced higher than their original tags, stating, 'A pair of dress pants with the original tag of $22.99 was priced $24.99.' Such inconsistencies seem to be a growing concern among regulars.
Customer service experiences also vary. While some, like Love Farmer, had an excellent encounter, praising clerk Tonya for her attentive service and senior discount, others reported less favorable interactions. One customer mentioned being asked for ID to receive a student discount, which left a sour taste. Although Goodwill shines with its community support initiatives and job services, the recent changes in operations have raised eyebrows. As one reviewer noted, 'Apparently they don’t bag your stuff anymore,' which adds an unexpected layer of inconvenience.

I love going to this store, but the prices are getting ridiculous. I've found 6 items with their price tag higher than the original price. Seriously...c'mon. A pair of dress pants with the original tag of $22.99 was priced $24.99.
Had a whole lot of clothing and all the other stuff too. Wasn't super busy. But the clerk, Tonya, made it great because she gave me my 10% senior discount even though I forgot to ask for it! That's what I call Great customer service!
Apparently they don’t bag your stuff anymore you have to carry your clothes out in your arms. Imagine my surprise when she said have a good day and there’s my pile of clothes on the counter.
